Transfers

Well, this transfer I got a comp from Mexico, and he knows how to cook!!!!! It is quite the blessing.

Well this week we have been doing a lot of contacts with the people here, and so there is always a story to tell. And so this week we were teaching one family with an older lady that kept on trembling. She asked for a blessing and so we gave her a blessing of health. When we were at the end of the blessing, the lady stopped trembling. It was really cool to see the power of God work in this person.

And so the power of the priesthood is real, and if we are worthy of it and do everything we can to receive it, God will work miracles among us.

Kites

Well it has been quite windy this week, and so people were out and about flying kites. My comp explained to me that they weren’t just flying kites, they were fighting kites!!!! We watched for a little bit and saw that the kites would approach one another and try to cut the line of the other, and then people would race to get to the kite first. It was quite interesting. It appeared very fun kkkk.

And so spiritual thought: so I was reading a talk by Elder Costa (friends and investigators of the church) for a talk. And in it, there was an Elder, who before he was baptized, helped him realize that the scriptures are talking directly to him. Alma 42, whenever they could, they put his name, and it was Alma talking with his son, OR with us, about repentance. And this is a very good thing to do. I know that if we put our names in the scriptures, they will be talking to us, and we can understand better what we need to do to gain salvation.

Well as we were walking this week, we saw a tree. (Don’t worry, there’s more to the story) so there were these little monkeys on the tree and there was a child that was feeding them.  I really wanted to feed them too, but my comp told me that some of the monkeys will bite you, and then you have to get shots for rabies... well needless to say I did not feed monkeys this week kkkk So, we must all come unto Christ and be perfected in Him, right? But how can we become closer to a Being that we have never seen, touched, or heard during this life? Well God gave us a way, through prayer and scripture study. It is the only way that one can truly become closer to Christ. So please, read and pray every day so that you can be filled with the love of God and one day return to Him. com amor Elder Hilchie
