Skype with Elder Hilchie!!

Well guys, I’m getting a new comp this week, and we have a mission tour with Elder Bassett.  I also had skype, which went really well, it was great to see my family!!!!! And so this week we knocked a lot of doors, had some good conversations with the people, it went well, but we met a guy who grows coffee in his backyard just for him and his son. Oh, and I went to wizard, a place where people go to learn English. While I was there, we talked about why we are in Brasil, and I was asked by one of the people if I could bear my testimony in English about Jesus Christ. It went really well, the Holy Ghost was strong, and afterwards I bore my testimony in Portuguese. It was just a really great experience for me.

But yeah, that’s the great thing about the Holy Ghost, He will testify of Jesus Christ in all languages, but you have to listen for Him, He will not come when everyone is shouting or if you are focused in something else, you have to pay attention and seek for Him if you want to feel the comfort He can give. But the great thing is that our Father in Heaven loves us, and He will come closer to us if we come closer to Him. I love all of you guys!!! Seek out the peace and comfort that God can give to you whether it be reading the scriptures, praying, or just finding a quiet moment to think about our Lord and Savior. I can promise that your week will be better if you do this!!!!! Have an awesome week!!!!!!!

Nerf Gun Ambush

Well guys, this week I gained some high powered toy guns in a box with other goodies (thanks family! and the awesome guy who delivered it!) Anyways we thought it would be a good idea to ambush the president of the branch with them, but he was too close when he opened the door, so we waited until his brother arrived. It was successful, but we started a war kkkk. We got them to calm down eventually and then we had an English class, it went very well, they speak English very well. 

For this week I will talk about how to make families stronger. An Apostle said that two things that would help strengthen the family are family prayer and family scripture study, and that these two things will help our families stay stronger. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just do a little every day. Through the small and simple things, great things can happen.

Missionaries in his new area

So, on the way to a conferencia de zona, we were waiting on a van at 2 am, 10-15 missionarios, and then this drunk guy comes up to us and says "Jesus, and I, love you" and then he said he was going to rob us, but then decided to pull out some spoons? (don’t know why he had two spoons in his pocket) starting banging them together and started singing to us. Well, it was crazy, but it was all good in the end, and that’s the story of the week!

Ok, time to get spiritual kkkk. Well I was reading and I encountered when Jesus was talking about the treasures of heaven, and how where our treasures lie, that’s where our hearts will be as well. So if our hearts are set on the riches of the earth, that’s where we will stay, but if our hearts are set on the riches of heaven, that’s where we will go, to receive our eternal reward. I know it’s not easy, but if we give God our all, everything that we have, we will not lose our reward, which is life eternal.
